Our minds and balls in the gutter at the bowling alley
On this episode of Trip to the Lou, the gang heads to the legendary Saratoga Lanes in Maplewood, MO (right across the street from The Focal Point). Saratoga Lanes is famous for being the oldest bowling alley and pool hall west of the Mississippi. Built in 1916 by the Maplewood Planing Mill and Stair company, this beloved St. Louis Landmark is also special for being one of the few bowling alleys in existence on the second floor – the offices were originally on the first floor.
The guys play through two rounds and our very own Greg Warren manages to break 100 for the first time in his life. They also talk about the appropriate ball size and weight; a subject of great pride for some and great shame for others.
